    2024 Customer Services 12-Week Internship OpportunityAt FCS Financial, part of the nationwide Farm Credit System, we are looking for 2024 Customer Services Intern to join our Team FCS Financial is a member of the largest agriculture lending cooperative in the United States today.

    At FCS, we seek individuals who share passion for agriculture, rural living and helping people achieve their goals and dreamsThe Customer Services Internship is designed to expose the student to a specialized area of FCS Financial This opportunity offers hands on experiences with our Customer Service staff and specialists in our Union Branch You will get the opportunity to interact with our member owners in person and over the phone.

    You will serve as the Loan Officer right hand person in preparing loan packages that includes but is not limited to, collecting personal data, preparing loan closing documentation, and organizing data for completeness.

    Due to the sensitive nature of our business you will need to pay close attention to detail, have the ability to follow policies and procedures, and think critically to determine actions on various account maintenance activities.

    Time will be spent focusing with our Customer Services Team.

    The last few weeks of the internship program will allow the interns to customize their experience and focus on others area of interests within the company.


    These departments include:

    Human Resources, Information Services, Legal, Operations, Audit, Marketing, Accounting and Finance, Credit, Scorecard Lending, Information Services, Sales and Support, Appraisal, Crop Insurance, and Risk Management.

    The Customer Services Intern will also complete one or more projects identified by FCS Customer Services Team that are hands-on in nature and are approved by our Executive Leadership Team to add value to the Association.

    The starting hourly wage is $18.00 per hour (Subject to Change).This position is classified as Non-Exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act.

    The first week of training will be in Springfield, MO. The remainder of the internship will be located at our Union Branch.

    There is potential travel to other locations in the southern part of the state during the last few weeks of the internship.

    Responds to customer request and /or identifies staff member who should respond to customer request.
    Accepts, identifies and processes loan payments and provides receipts to customersProvide various other services which may include loan and funds held advances, payoff documentation, ordering drafts and notary services30%Loan CoordinationMonitors property or crop insurance documentation to ensure requirements are metFollows up on missing or incomplete documentation (i.e. earnings information / financial information & etc.)

    Determines need for collateral releases and returns paid notes in compliance with paid in full loan procedures Completes lien searchesMaintains electronic filesCompletes loan verifications for third partiesCompletes Loan to Note Verification25%Account MaintenanceApplies standard processes, policies and procedures to determine actions on various account maintenance activities, which may include:
