    Your Role at KIK The R&D Engineering Technician plays an integral role in product development and growth of the Prestone Organization.

    The responsibilities include the setup, testing, and documentation of automotive testing based out of the Prestone Danbury, CT Site.

    The Engineering Technician will be expected to run and report out on a variety of automotive tests in a demanding fast paced environment with the internal R&D team as well as external partners to develop products, and solve problems based on the needs of the business.

    What You'll Be Doing Maintaining established relationships with external partners. Setting up and running fleet tests and standardized proprietary tests to generate data to support the business goals. Provide accurate documentation and summaries of both internal proprietary bench testing as well as vehicle fleet testing. Assist in the mechanical development and written procedures of tests.

    What You'll Bring 8 years of experience in automotive engine design /heavy duty or scientific field with a high school diploma or GED OR 5 years of experience in automotive engine design/heavy duty or scientific field with an Associate's degree OR Bachelor's degree with 1+ years of experience in automotive engine design/heavy duty or scientific field Must be willing to travel up to 10%; a driver's license is required Strong mechanical and electrical knowledge of ICE vehicles required Ability to lift up to 60 lbs Strong written communication skills Good computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite A sense of drive with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn Ability to work independently as well as in cross-functional teams What You Will Get KIK offers very competitive salary and comprehensive benefits including health, wellness, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance.

    We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. This position has a base salary range of $70,000-80,000.

    The actual salary may vary based upon several factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills/experience, time in the role, business line, and geographic/office location.
