    Job Description Qualifications:

    Boeing's Government Training Engineering (GTE) team is hiring a Lead Systems Engineer to support the Air Dominance Ownship Systems Support Analyst/System Design Analyst in Berkeley, MO. The selected candidate develops, maintains and identifies improvements for the planning, organization, implementation and monitoring of requirements management processes, tools, risk, issues, opportunity management and technology readiness assessment processes, Develop and manage requirements using standard Systems Engineering database tools (i.e. GOLD, CMPRO, DESE) following systems engineering processes and best practices, ensure product integration and interface requirements are clearly defined, documented, and communicated to stakeholders, plan and execute integration activities to meet program requirements and timelines., lead investigation and resolution of discrepancies identified during verification testing to ensure deliverables are met, technology readiness assessment processes, drive efficient communication and collaboration with multiple stakeholders, including internal and external customers, presentation skills to program management and customers

    Position responsibilities:

    Managing hardware updates to the F15 USAF training systems:

    • Conducting design reviews
    • Creating Bill of Materials (BOM)
    • Providing input for proposals
    • Liaising with manufacturing
    • Tracking and kitting of parts
    • Creating installation drawing instructions/documentation
    • Shipping parts to the site
    • Supporting site installation and integration

    Supporting the integration team in hardware and software updates at the site:

    • Performing hardware installations
    • Conducting software installations
    • Integrating hardware and software
    • Assisting the test team during OSI/CEVT/COIVT (Operational System Integration, Combined End-to-End Verification Testing, and Combined Operational Integration and Verification Testing)

    Acting as a liaison between the sites and the program:

    • Creating Request for Repair (ROR) documents
    • Dispositioning RORs
    • Shipping repaired/replaced items to both Conus (Continental United States) and OCONUS (Outside Continental United States) sites
    • Providing engineering support to site personnel as needed
    • Managing program spares to maintain 95% availability
    • Supporting engineering in resolving obsolescence issues of aging hardware
    • Providing calibration laboratory support for all site calibrated equipment
    • Reviewing and updating trainers' schematic drawings

    Applying an interdisciplinary and collaborative approach to:

    • Plan, design, develop, and verify complex lifecycle balanced system of systems and system solutions
    • Evaluate customer/operational needs to define and coordinate system performance requirements
    • Integrate technical parameters and ensure compatibility of all physical, functional, and program interfaces
    • Perform various analyses to optimize the total system of systems and/or system architecture
    • Consider factors such as affordability, safety, reliability, maintainability, testability, human systems integration, survivability, vulnerability, susceptibility, system security, regulatory compliance, certification, product assurance, and other quality factors
    • Ensure mission success.

    This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

    This position requires a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. An ability to obtain an interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

    Special Program Access or other Government Access Requirements are mandatory for this position.

    Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

    • Bachelors degree and 8 years related work experience, or equivalent combination
    • 5+years of experience with F-15 aircraft systems
    • 2+ years of relevant systems engineering experience
    • 3+ years' experience performing system requirements verification testing Experience using or applying metrics to measure performance to ensure high quality deliveries
    • Ability to travel 10% of the time

    Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

    • Experience with Scaled Agile Frame (SAFe) software and systems development
    • 3+ years experience do you have working with Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA) and Department of Defense (DOD) contracts
    • 3+ years experience in the field of simulation, particularly aircrew (flight) simulators and/or trainers
    • 3+ years experience do you have working with GOLD/IGOLD and
    • 3+ years of experience do you have developing and/or managing project schedules and budgets

    Typical Education/Experience:

    Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience, 13 years' related work experience, etc.)
