The Alexandria VA Medical Center in Alexandria/Pineville, LA, is seeking a full-time, BC/BE, Cardiologist to serve as a member of its Specialty Care Team. Highlights of this position include:

Competitive Starting Salary $335,000-$360,000

Work Schedule: Mon-Fri, 8am-4:30pm.

Diagnose, treat, and manage patients with cardiac diseases

Provide services such as outpatient examinations, consultation services related to cardiology, management of patients with current treatment regiment, and admission status as necessary

Responsible for patient data documentation within 24 hours; encounters for outpatients; consult notes; and enter new and renewal of prescriptions

Will be required to attend cardiology team, Medicine Service, and meetings with medical center staff.

Required to serve on committees and participate in quality assurance program.Additional Requirements:

Board Certified in Cardiology

BLS and ACLS certification required

Must be a U.S. Citizen. Non-Citizen candidates will be considered if a U.S. Citizen is not found

Full and unrestricted license from any U.S. StateWe offer:
