JOB SUMMARY:
Child Care Aides are an essential part of the Youth Services team They

engage with kids, play, guide, mentor and have fun at work

Average hours per week: 10-30

Employees in this classification work under direct supervision of the

Childcare Site Specialist


EXAMPLES OF DUTIES


EXAMPLES OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Maintain positive relations with parents.
• Plan and conduct daily schedule of activities.
• Responsible for the safety, health and happiness of the children.
• Assist other staff in directing and overseeing children's activities.
• Chaperone field trips and outdoor activities.
• Oversee snack preparation.
• Other duties as assigned.

TYPICAL QUALIFICATIONS

POSSESSION AND MAINTENANCE OF:

• Fingerprint clearance from the Department of Justice will be required
• Child Abuse Index check
• Tuberculosis Clearance and satisfactory Health Screening
