We're a small business (about $2M in revenue) and we're looking to level up our marketing department. To put it simply, my leadership team and I are looking for two things:
First, someone who is great at marketing I know...I a surprising statement considering the job post. But, a lot of people do we're looking for someone who has the confidence and experience to be in charge of our marketing department. We have been steadily growing for 10 years. But, now it's time to bring in additional expertise and experience to help us get to the next level of growth.
Second, as the Marketing Manager/Director, you will be on the leadership team with us. So, we're looking for someone who makes our leadership team stronger and will contribute to the overall growth and direction of the company.
I don't have a specific amount of experience that is required. However, we are looking for a candidate with appropriate experience that qualifies them for these needs.
Requirements
You will primarily be in charge of lead generation. We have a great team in place that takes care of content and branding (social, blogs, podcasts, etc). And, while you certainly will collaborate with them, we need someone to lead the marketing campaigns that are primarily focused on lead gen. This includes initiatives such as:
You will be in charge of choosing what marketing we do, the strategy on how we execute it, and the decision on how to allocate the marketing budget. You don't necessarily have to do everything on the list above, and you will certainly want to explore opportunities beyond that list.
You will also be in charge of a small team of Marketing Assistants/Coordinators who will make up your marketing department Additionally, we have people on staff who can assist with copywriting, graphic design and other creative elements.
I could go on and make this an even longer job post (thanks for still reading, by the way), but to be honest what this job is about is simple: generating leads, maximizing ROI, and leading an effective marketing team. Here is a list of the skills and tasks for the role:

We are a content marketing agency focused on professional/private practices such as law firms, and our services include website design, social media management, blogging, and more. For clarification, while we are a content marketing company, you will be overseeing our internal marketing department. Our Operations team handles our clients and delivers the services. This position is on our internal marketing side, helping us grow our own marketing and client acquisition. In other words, you're marketing a marketing company
Benefits
Pay, Hours, etc:
This is a salaried position ranging from $65,000-$75,000 based on experience. Our office is located in the South End area of Charlotte. We offer flex arrival and departure times Monday through Thursday (remote Fridays). This is NOT a remote position.
Additionally, we offer work from home, half-day Fridays and unlimited PTO. Healthcare, vision, and dental insurance are also available.
