- Responsible for both classified and unclassified range networks.
- Perform preventive maintenance on all network devices.
- Provide senior level troubleshooting of all networks.
- Maintain network configuration baselines to adhere with policy, accreditation and regulatory requirements.
- Perform improvements in accordance with policy, accreditation and regulatory requirements.
- Report network issues and maintain a change log.
- Audit and maintain active network documentation.
- Maintain hardware inventories and ensures appropriate network device spares.
- Perform and document periodic network performance testing.
- Prepare reports, studies and research as requested.
- Assist other team members as needed.
- Perform other related functions as needed and/or assigned by supervisor.
- Demonstrated ability to implement, operate and troubleshoot Cisco network environments (i.e. switches, routers, firewalls, etc.).
- Strong understanding of Multicast, 802.1x, WAN accelerators and QoS is desired.
- Excellent English language verbal and writing skills including report preparation.
- Excellent customer interaction skills.
- Willingness and ability to work occasional non-duty hours or on weekends to support specific project or mission requirements – independently.
- Bachelor's degree in Network Technology, Computer Science, or Information Systems Management; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Active CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate) certification.
- Active Security + (CompTIA certification).
- Five (5) or more years of related on-the-job work experience including but not limited to:
- Designing, implementing, operating and troubleshooting Cisco based networks.
- Supporting DoD/military networks.
- Supporting Taclane encryptors.
- Active CCNP (Cisco Certified Network Professional) certification.
- Experience with Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE), Cisco Prime Infrastructure and Solarwinds.
- Experience supporting RMF accreditations.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance, which includes U.S. citizenship.
- Valid U.S. Driver's License.
