    Minimum Qualifications:

    1. Master's degree from an accredited college or university.
    2. Three (3) years teaching experience.
    3. Valid Alabama certification in administration/supervision.
    4. Ability to meet the suitability criteria for employment and/or certification/licensure under the
      Alabama Child Protection Act of 1999 and Act No
    5. Knowledge of curriculum development, effective classroom practices and staff development
      principles.
    6. Ability to demonstrate effective leadership skills in group settings.
    7. Ability to understand the unique needs, growth issues, and learning characteristics of students
      of the school/grade level(s) assigned.
    8. Knowledge of special education laws, policies, rules and procedures.
    9. Proficiency in oral and written communication skills.
    10. Effective interpersonal skills, with an emphasis on communication and collaboration with a
      wide variety of people and groups, including, but not limited to, students, faculty, staff,
      parents, and community members.
    11. Knowledge and ability to use and facilitate the use of various forms of education technology.
    12. Ability to assist with instructional techniques.
    13. Ability to organize, delegate and supervise others effectively.
    14. Ability to evaluate and provide constructive feedback to faculty and staff as assigned.
    15. Ability to use group dynamics within the context of cultural diversity.
    16. Ability to collaboratively plan with faculty, staff, and system officials for school improvement
      and increased student achievement.
    17. Knowledge of educational trends, data analysis, and research.
    18. Knowledge of curriculum and principles of learning.
    19. Ability to use technology for communication, presentations, research, data analysis, budgeting, record keeping, reporting, scheduling and other job responsibilities as required.
    20. Knowledge of student behavior management.
    21. Physical mobility and visual acuity to visit schools and classrooms and to perform job
      requirements.
    22. Ability to be punctual and in regular attendance.
    23. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.

    Salary Range: From/To Based on the Jefferson County Board of Education approved salary schedule: ELEMENTARY- $97,374 - $123,777 MIDDLE - $105,372 - $132,203 HIGH - $114,296 - $142,249 Salary scale is subject to change pending approval of updated Salary Schedule
