Senior Lifeguard Lieutenant Role

We protect the beauty and safety of Sarasota County's beaches, ranked #1 multiple times. Our lifeguards are trained to provide updates on beach conditions.

This role is for experienced lifeguards with active CPR/AED certifications who can lead/train others. Starting pay is $22.14 (Step 1) with benefits after 60 days and opportunities for advancement.

About the Position

• Supervise daily operations at assigned county-operated beaches, overseeing lifeguard stations, supervising beach lifeguards, and maintaining order according to Sarasota County ordinances.

• Work as part of the Lifeguard Operations leadership team to motivate others and support leadership.

• Assist in developing continued training for lifeguards.

• Clean the lifeguard office and storage areas daily, maintain first aid supplies inventory, order supplies as needed.

About You

A. High School Diploma or equivalent required.
