- Lead machine learning and data engineer resources across North and South America todevelop and implement code, data processes, and MLbased models using best practices in the agribusiness and financial sectors.
- Ensure that the companys AI strategy and vision align with the companys goals, and makesoftware and platform decisions for the companys AI strategy.
- Apply knowledge of agribusiness and financial domains to inform the development andimplementation of machine learning models and data processes. Use insights from these domains to identify unique opportunities and address complex challenges.
- Collaborate with other departments to identify business opportunities and challenges, anddrive the machine learning efforts at Traive to better outcomes and deliveries.
- Manage the budget for the machine learning and data engineer teams, includingforecasting, tracking, and reporting expenses, and ensuring costeffective use of resources.
- Provide technical leadership and mentoring to a highly diverse, multilingual team of juniormachine learning engineers, data engineers, and data scientists, fostering a culture ofcontinuous learning and improvement.
- Stay uptodate with the latest advancements in machine learning and data science andimplement relevant technologies and methodologies to improve the efficiency and accuracy of the companys machine learning models.
- Lead and mentor team members to ensure their professional development andengagement.
- Experience explaining and presenting complex machine learning concepts to bothtechnical and non-technical multilingual audiences.
- Experience in delivering successful machine learning systems in production.
- Experience in managing and leading teams of data scientists, engineers, or relatedprofessionals with the ability to work across multiple geographies and cultures.
- Experience in credit and agribusiness, with an understanding of industry trends,challenges, and opportunities.
- Experience using Python and SQL code development, applying best practices throughoutthe entire workflow, from initial development to production deployment.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, such as Terraform.
- Experience with financial markets, risk management, and investment strategies.
- Experience calculating credit scores and the statistical methods used.
