    About The Role
    Liberty Grove Schools is seeking a Social Emotional Learning Coordinator to facilitate the culture of the school, including providing social and emotional support for students and ensuring a positive and structured environment that creates the conditions for learning. This position is an opportunity to play a leadership role in supporting students with Social and Emotional Learning. Join our Liberty Grove Schools team as we grow

    Essential Duties

    • Drive Liberty Grove Schools' vision and mission, centered on removing labels and redefining student success to ensure a community of academic excellence that sparks innovation and creates opportunity.
    • Establish and maintain a positive, safe, and supportive school culture
    • Supervise the consistent administration of school policies regarding student conduct and discipline
    • Support teachers to create and sustain classroom management systems that ensure a focus on learning and student success
    • Work closely with the administrative team to support the integration of school-wide social and emotional learning education
    • Facilitate social and emotional learning lessons to whole classes and small groups of students
    • Assist and coach students using SEL strategies to increase coping skills and study skills to support academic success
    • Provide professional development to support the social emotional learning curriculum and instruction by using best practices, including research on learning theory and content standards
    • Support administrators, teachers and other school staff in identifying root causes of student behavioral issues and ways to meet students social and emotional needs
    • Engage parents and community members in school activities to foster a community approach to learning and development
    • Perform additional duties as assigned

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's Degree required
    • Valid Indiana State Teacher's License or equivalent in Elementary Education (K-6)
    • 2 years of successful classroom experience with demonstrated exemplary results within an urban charter school setting.
    • A passion for educational excellence, data-driven instruction, and a personal commitment to accountability for results.
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment.
    • Strong oral and written communication skills.
    • Knowledge of and experience with implementing effective instructional and behavioral methods for educating youth.
