    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    • Exercise and promote safety
    • Provide support to end users on a variety of issues
    • Identify, research and resolve technical problems
    • Document, track and monitor problems to ensure timely resolution
    • Complete daily maintenance of Backup Tape systems and Servers
    • Other duties as assigned

    Qualifications

    • Minimum Education: 2 years of college in appropriate field of study
    • Certifications Required: Lock-out/Tag-out certification (provided by UAC)

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

    • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal skills required; must have the ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedural manuals; ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers and departmental personnel
    • Computer Skills: Possess knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices and procedures relating to IT function; ability to use Microsoft Office Suite; computer troubleshooting skills are essential.
    • Mathematical Skills: Proficiency in basic skills of addition, subtraction, multiplication, division and can calculate fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical solutions
    • Reasoning Skills: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exits; ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form
    • Physical Abilities: Regularly required to stand, walk and use hands; must be able to lift 50 pounds at any time during his/her shift; the physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job; reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions

    Working Conditions

    • Schedule: 1st shift (some flexibility required for occasional nights and/or weekends)
