Job DescriptionSnelling is searching for an experienced Manual Machinist for a well-established company in the Helena, AL area. The starting pay rate for this position is $ /hr, and it is a 1st shift position. Apply today with ConfidenceJob Responsibilities for Manual Machinist:

• Machine plates including aluminum, iron & steel.
• Machine pins to close tolerance.
• Drilling, tapping, and milling.
• Maintain a clean workspace.

Skills & Abilities Required for Manual Machinist:

• Work from provided detailed manufacturing drawings.
• Efficient in the use of manual machine shop equipment such as lathes, drill presses, and vertical milling machines.
• Use of measuring devices such as micrometers, dial indicators, and calipers.
• Ability to interact positively with co-workers.
• Dependable. On-time. Self-starter.

Experience Needed for Manual Machinist:

• 2-3 years minimum of Manual Machinist experience with a strong manual lathe required
• Need to be comfortable using all types of tools
• Need to have some forklift and/or overhead crane operating experience
• Experience using drill pressing, milling machines, and handheld measuring instruments
