Position Summary
Provide professional behavior health services working with Albuquerque Police officers, Sheriff's deputies, and first responders to provide crisis intervention to adults and children who are experiencing or are at risk for experiencing a behavioral health crisis; work on scene, conducted mental health assessments, engage in de-escalation, make appropriate referrals, and conduct follow up services; work collaboratively with law enforcement, area hospitals and partnering agencies to coordinate services.
This is a safety sensitive position subject to random drug/alcohol testing.
This is an unclassified at-will position

Minimum Education, Experience And Additional Requirements
Master's Degree from an accredited college or university in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology or related field; and
Three (3) years of experience working as a qualified mental health professional licensed for independent practice within any of the following areas:
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Possession of a valid New Mexico Driver's License, or the ability to obtain by date of hire.
Possession of a City Operator's Permit (COP) within six (6) months from date of hire.
Successful completion of a security background check conducted by the Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) of the Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI)
Work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required.
Must possess one of the following licenses: Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Certified Nurse Practitioner (CNP) or Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS).
Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred.
