    The

    Broadband Grant Compliance Lead

    is responsible for helping to ensure Cox maintains compliance with all broadband grant award requirements.

    Viewed as a subject matter expert for federal reporting and other requirements, the Broadband Grant Lead will be responsible for ensuring timely and complete compliance with broadband grant reporting, contractual and statutory requirements and for the ongoing administration of the Market Expansion Grant Compliance Tool.

    Candidate must be skilled at leading by influence and collaboration as work must be coordinated with key internal boundary partners.

    The Grant Compliance Lead also will be responsible for tracking monthly expenses and conduct forecasting related to compliance fulfillment and public relations activities.

    Candidate must feel comfortable with change and operating in a fast paced and dynamic environment and have a good sense of humor, be curious and have a thirst for new challenges.


    LOCATION:
    Must be located near a Cox hub, not subjected to Atlanta and San Diego.

    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:


    Prepare, process, track and submit all required compliance reports, data requests and needed documentation required for awarded state and federal broadband deployment grants.

    Coordinate efforts with key boundary partners, including Business Operations, Construction, Engineering, Supply Chain, HR, Legal and others, ensuring that information is responsive to requests, complete and delivered before submission deadlines.

    Administer Compliance Tool by entering requirements for each awarded grant, ensuring automatic notifications are assigned to the proper responsible boundary partner, manage report and documentation retention practices, and monitor task calendaring and due dates to ensure timely report filing.

    Work with team and boundary partners to ensure compliance support systems are in place, which includes documentation, data warehousing, creating and maintaining supportive Methods and Procedures, organizational and RACI charts, and documenting financial controls and key practices.

    Track monthly expenses related to compliance and public affairs launch activities. Conduct monthly reviews of budget expenditures to ensure expenses align with actuals. Assist in forecasting future spending based on key milestones in the go to market process.
    Support the development and documentation of administrative and programmatic policies and procedures manual to be used for anticipated audits.
    Develop forms and templates to support compliance work.
    Support the Compliance team in education efforts and support of compliance needs with boundary partners and Market Expansion team.
    Ability to understand and interpret complex requirements and communicate to internal partners in simple, understandable terms.
    A proactive nature and "can-do" attitude.
    Remains calm and cool-headed under pressure.
    Occasional travel, approximately 10% of the time.

    QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

    Minimum Qualifications:
    High School Diploma/GED and 7 years' experience in a related field. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as any level degree/certification beyond a HS diploma/GED in a related discipline and 5 years' experience; or 9 years' experience in a related field
    Mastery of budgeting, customer focus, accuracy and attention to detail, managing multiple priorities, and contract management and administration.
    Excels at collaboration, communication, trust-building, stakeholder engagement, and applies learning.
    Ability to write reports, conduct analysis, and prepare/conduct briefings.
    Ability to assist with the development of and provision of training.
    Ability to use provided IT tools and document management tools to create, organize and maintain project documents.
    Knowledge of standard office procedures and intermediate computer operations to include a working and functional use (preferred intermediate to advanced) of all Microsoft Office applications including Word, Outlook, and Excel
    Ability to effectively communicate (written and orally) with team members and stakeholders.
    Solid written, verbal and organizational skills.

    Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as within a team framework to accomplish objectives under tight deadlines.

    Able to remain flexible and adapt quickly to changes during each assignment.
    Ability to manage multiple and varying projects and deadlines at the same time.

    Preferred Qualifications:
    Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university plus 1-3 years professional experience.
    Knowledge of Broadband/Telecommunications and broadband related subjects
    Knowledge of grant management and compliance, or other foundational compliance experience.
