- Execute therapeutic, diagnostic, and emergency respiratory care procedures and provide assessment, treatment, care and evaluation for patients with respiratory insufficiencies or abnormalities.
- Interpret a variety of data and instructions, furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form, and respond to traumas and various hospital emergencies.
- Assemble and verify the completeness of all patient data needed to initiate care, including consents, pre-procedural testing, and dialysis orders.
- Built collaborative relationships with peers and other healthcare providers to achieve departmental and corporate objectives.
- Comply with all local/state/federal regulations, codes, policies and procedures to ensure the privacy and safety of protected health information (PHI) while delivering optimal patient care.
- Graduate of a two-year respiratory care program accredited by the Committee on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC).
- 2 years of clinical and practical experience acquired in a similar environment is preferred.
- Current Respiratory Care Practitioner license (RCP) in California and Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification (or certification-eligible; certification must be completed within 90 days of hire).
- Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider (BLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP) if required.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) preferred.
