Collections Representative- Commercial HVAC - Orlando, FL

Job Summary
We are a fast-growing commercial HVAC service company operating across multiple states. We specialize in servicing retail, multi-site, and facility management accounts. We are hiring a results-driven Collections Representative to take full ownership of Accounts Receivable and aggressively drive cash flow.
This role reports directly to the GM of Operations and plays a critical role in protecting profitability and reducing Days Sales Outstanding (DSO). If you are persistent, organized, comfortable with tough conversations, and motivated by results — this is your role.
Responsibilities
- Own full-cycle commercial collections across multiple states
- Proactively follow up on past-due invoices (30/60/90+ days)
- Make outbound collection calls and send follow-up correspondence
- Resolve billing disputes with Service Managers and customers
- Maintain accurate documentation of collection activity in QuickBooks/ERP
- Monitor and report weekly AR aging
- Reduce DSO month-over-month
- Escalate chronic slow-pay accounts to GM of Operations
- Support lien or notice procedures when required
- Ensure customers properly receive invoices and documentation
- Identify internal process gaps that delay payment
Qualifications
- 3+ years of commercial collections experience
- Experience handling high-dollar invoices
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Ability to manage difficult conversations professionally
- Highly organized and detail-oriented
- Self-starter who works well with executive leadership
- Experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting software preferred
- HVAC, construction, or service industry experience strongly preferred
