    Pre-Sales (PS) Job Family works closely with sales team to work out offers for products, services, and solutions. Covers the identification of new business opportunities and draws on technical expertise. Jobs in this Job Family can influence and impact customer's buying decision and are accountable for achieving sales results. They work with external clients to understand their specific business needs and provide customised support. PS also contains the presentation and discussion of possible products, services, and solutions with internal (multi-product) and external customers.

    Subfamily Description


    Sales Development & Solutioning (SDS) comprises the provision of pre-sales support / expertise to sales team in their sales efforts.

    Covers a specialised knowledge of technical products, services, or solutions in a single or suite of offerings.

    Contains delivery of in-depth presentations and demonstrations to clients and sales representatives as well as the identification of new businesses focusing on future technologies and the setting of strategies to develop new business opportunities.

    Comprises driving of Nokia's solutions across business groups as well as positioning and selling of Nokia's solutions to customers in coordination with sales and / or presales teams through a consultative selling approach.

    Covers engagement with external clients in defining and formulating their business strategies. Comprises understanding of customer's business model and long term investment planning in order to provide customised support.

    Responsibilities

    Creates offering for multi-products, services or end-to-end solutions.
    Actively supports customer engagement.
    Direct interface with customers and development teams.
    Interprets critical internal or external business issues and develops innovative solutions that help to sustain competitive advantage.
    Defines processes and standards.

    Uses knowledge on how the job contributes to the corporate goals as well as knowledge of industry and competitive landscape to increase own effectiveness.

    Influences strategic decisions the technical area that affect the performance of the subfunction (EG a subset of a function, typically consisting of several areas with independent budgets).

    Independently develops concepts to set the professional direction of own organizational unit.
    Solves highly complex or novel problems based on sophisticated analytical thought and complex judgment.

    Acts as a senior subject matter expert, typically at a global or regional level, in many organizational units the most senior internal expert who serves as best practice / quality resource and is an acknowledged authority both within and outside own organizational unit.

    Often leads functional teams or projects with considerable resource requirements, risk, and complexity, handles day-to-day staff management issues, including resource management and allocation of work.

    Working with decision makers in key accounts assesses potential, formulates strategy, positions solutions and guides business lines to address opportunities
    Evaluates and develops new strategic business opportunities, initiatives, mergers, acquisitions, partnerships, alliances and/or joint ventures
    Develops and articulates value proposition for FN technologies, products and solutions with customers
    Identifies product roadmap features and priorities
    Drives opportunity development in cooperation with sales
    Develops business cases for key initiatives and manage associated offers

    Provide commercial support to sales teams in developing proposals for customers for deployment of products and solutions and drive to commercial closure.

    Provide support to tendering teams that are leading the proposal response process.

    This includes leading the Go / No Go process to determine response strategy, and support on proposal response including developing solution summaries, assisting with RFx responses and Bid Defenses, and evaluate project risks.

    Performs market analysis, monitoring competitive activity, and identifying customer needs and market trends

    Contributes to key business reporting metrics (orders, revenue and margins) and deal flow (new, pending, closed deals, winning rate, rebids, etc.)

    Qualifications


    Qualifications:
    Degree in Engineering or Computer Science with experience in Business Management
    10 Years of related experience
    Technology and Broadband Market knowledge. Ideally a blend of knowledge with In-Home networking, Passive Optical Networks, 4G & 5G Fixed Wireless.


    Skills and Competencies:
    Industry expert on access network solutions with an active network of contacts with vendors/suppliers, customers, internal contacts
    Excels in written and verbal communication including with executive level decision makers
    Able to transcend cross business unit organizations, building a strong network of contacts and lead cross business unit initiatives
    A trusted advisor to executive level decision makers driving technology decisions, network evolution and transformation strategies
    Effectively represents and communicates product and technology towards the Sales teams and customers
    Works with a broad range of professionals within the Nokia organization to address challenging business issues
