Job Summary
Directs and oversees the daily operations of multiple departments within Cardiology. Ensures the delivery of quality patient care. Participates in the clinical development and evaluation of unit staff. Maintains compliance with all regulatory agencies.
The Director of Cardiology develops the strategic plan for the Chest Pain Certification Program through the guidelines set forth by the Society of Chest Pain Centers and is monitored by the ACS/STEMI committee.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Management or Health Related Service Required, Master's preferred.
Certification & Licensure Requirements
Registered Nurse, Radiology Tech, or other Healthcare related field with experience.
Experience/ Qualifications/ Skills
Cardiology, EKG, trained in invasive and noninvasive technology. Supervisory Experience.
Language/ Communication Skills
English Required Multi-Lingual capabilities enhance the ability to perform this job.
Must have the ability to speak effectively and professionally to all staff, management, and all outside individuals at all levels from elementary to professional.
Mathematical Skills
Skill in adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing whole numbers, fractions, and decimals without a calculator.
Reasoning Ability
Critical thinking and multitasking skills a must. Must have reasonable reflective thinking focused on deciding what to believe or do.
Must possess purposeful, self-regulatory judgment which results in interpretation, analysis, evaluation, and inference, as well as explanation of the evidential, conceptual, methodological, criteriological, or contextual considerations upon which that judgment is based.
