    Resources for Human Development (RHD) is hiring Our Womanspace Philadelphia Program is looking for master's level therapists to join our team. Based on degree and certification, the salary range is $52,140 - $55,530 annually with a sign on bonus of $2,500 after successful completion of 90 days of employment.

    Master's With License - $55,530

    Master's - $52,140

    The therapist will provide individual, group, and family therapies to adults using evidence-based practices in addiction-substance use disorders, mental health diagnosis and other areas as required by program. The counselor will perform initial assessments, create treatment plans, provide individual and group counseling, and coordinate with program support staff to identify and secure additional services and resources based on individual needs.

    Located in Germantown/Mt. Airy, RHD Womanspace Philadelphia is a residential home providing substance use treatment to women with a history of chronic homelessness. Womanspace provides evidence-based treatment from a Recovery Model perspective.     RHD employees and programs in the City of Philadelphia are required to follow the COVID vaccine mandate. Revised PDPH guidance allows for new hires to be partially vaccinated at the time of hire. This means they have received at least one shot in a two-dose series or a single dose in a one-dose series before beginning in-person shifts. The final dose must be received within 8 weeks of hire (start date). This currently does not include boosters.

    Responsibilities/Duties:Therapy
    • Conduct intake assessments including recommendations for treatment.
    • Provide individual, group and family therapies to people with mental health and substance abuse issues.
    Caseload management
    • Maintain active caseload including engaging individuals in ongoing treatment.
    • Maintain tracking system for treatment plans, and other required documents to meet program funder guidelines and program goals.
    • Participate in clinical group meetings regarding ongoing treatment goals, progress and discharge as needed.
    Administrative
    • Enter documentation into electronic medical records in accordance with agency guidelines.
    Additional position duties include:
    • On-call responsibilities, family engagement.
    • Collaboration with community providers.
    • Ongoing engagement with program participants within a residential setting.
    Treatment modalities utilized include:
    • Offering Trauma-informed care is at the core of what we do, and the ideal candidate must be able to engage with individuals from that perspective while also embracing harm reduction.
    • Stages of Change.
    • Motivational Interviewing.
    • Cognitive Therapy.
    • Dialectic Behavioral Therapy.
    • Seeking Safety.
    Required Experience/Education:
    • 2 year's clinical experience and a Master's degree from an accredited college with a major in chemical dependency, psychology, social work, counseling, nursing, or a related behavioral health field required.
    • Preference given to applicants with experience in trauma-informed care and the use of evidence-based practices in clinical drug and alcohol work.
