    JOB DESCRIPTION

    We are seeking a Senior Software and Telecommunications Engineer to join our User Identity team. The selected candidate will play a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining secure and scalable software solutions that support user identity and profile management across various applications.

    A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate with international team members to design and develop robust systems such as user authentication and authorization, user profile management, email notification services for users, etc., based on Fox's software engineering standards
  • Identify and troubleshoot technical issues, applying advanced network knowledge
  • Keep abreast of the latest trends and best practices in software development and identity management
  • Work cross-functionally to ensure seamless integration of identity services.
  • Lead design and architecture discussions, contributing valuable insights from previous experience and academic knowledge
  • Mentor junior engineers, fostering a collaborative and learning-oriented team environment
  • Participate in critical support rotations, ensuring the reliability and performance of our servicesWHAT YOU WILL NEED
  • Proven foundation in software engineering principles, as demonstrated by academic and professional experience leading interdisciplinary projects
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a track record of addressing complex challenges
  • Knowledge of Golang and Terraform with a commitment to expanding technical skills as needed
  • Familiarity with identity management concepts and practices such as user authentication and authorization, direct experience is an advantage but optional
  • Solid understanding of computer science fundamentals, including but not limited to algorithms and data structures
  • Insight into software design and architectural principles, capable of evaluating and making informed decisions on potential trade-offs
  • Experience with NoSQL databases, with a willingness to learn specific platforms as necessary
  • Exposure to AWS products such as Dynamo, SQS, ECR, with a readiness to deepen expertise in this area
  • Understanding of the software development lifecycle and experience in collaborative project environmentsNICE TO HAVE, BUT NOT A DEALBREAKER
  • Educational background in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, highlighting a strong theoretical and practical foundation in relevant areas of technology

    Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is: $121, ,500.00 annually for New York City and Westchester County, NY. This role is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
