    Description
    Position Summary PMA is currently seeking a Senior Project Scheduler for an exclusive assignment supporting the billion Newark AirTran Program. The Senior Project Scheduler will be an onsite role located at Newark Liberty International Airport. The successful candidate will possess excellent communication and team-building skills along with the ability to work independently, collaboratively, and with full transparency, as required by the client/project. In addition, you must be knowledgeable and responsible for developing, reviewing, reporting, and supervising construction schedules.

    Responsibilities include:

  • Develop, update, and maintain schedules (cost and resource loaded, if required).
  • Perform schedule reviews, and prepare weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly schedule update analysis reports, investigate and analyze schedule impacts, and recommend corrective action plans to be taken to mitigate/avoid cost and schedule overruns.
  • Monitor, review, and report to senior and executive management the schedule status of the project.
  • Represent the project in meetings with the owner, A/E representatives, and other contractors, as required.
  • Develop "what-if" schedule scenarios, mitigation schedules, look-ahead schedules, and time impact analyses.
  • Identify schedule issues, opportunities, and corrective actions to mitigate potential delays to projects.
  • Position Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering and/or construction management required.
  • 5+ years of experience in planning and scheduling/project controls/program controls on multiple sides of the business consultant, owner, owner rep, contract/architect, contractor, engineer) required.
  • Field experience preferred.
  • Experience in transportation programs preferred.
  • Proficient using Primavera P6, MS Project, and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the preparation, and development of resource-loaded design and construction schedules using the Critical Path Method (CPM) required.
  • Relevant construction scheduling experience in planning, scheduling, expediting, maintaining, and reporting the progress/status of work required.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills required.
  • Understanding of construction and construction means and methods required.
  • Must be an excellent multi-tasker, detail-orientated, independent self-starter with good writing skills who can communicate effectively with all stakeholders.
  • Additional Requirements Physical: Standing or sitting for long periods; must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times and spend extended hours in front of a computer screen.Cognitive: Problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills; computer and software skills; and ability to read and interpret text online or in printed form.
