    We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for a Full-Time, Night shift position (7pm - 7am).

    Job Description:

    • Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients by following physician orders, state and federal regulations, and our facility's policies and procedures.
    • Administer medications as ordered by the doctor and according to our facility's policies.
    • Lead, guide, and supervise nursing assistants and orderlies.
    • Assist physicians with rounds as needed.
    • Drape and remain with patients during MD rounds, physical examinations, and treatments as necessary.
    • Perform scheduled treatments and document appropriately while maintaining infection control measures.
    • Adhere to all regulations regarding cleanliness, infection control, and Standard/Universal Precautions.
    • Contribute to research related to quality of nursing care, as assigned.
    • Assist with records, orders, and assessments for new admissions, and ensure annual physicals and documentation are completed on time.

    Requirements:

    • Holds a current, valid license from the North Carolina Board of Nursing and submits proof of renewal every other year.
    • Provides quality nursing care to patients, follows doctor orders, and demonstrates genuine interest in geriatric nursing.
    • CPR certification is required yearly.
    • Ability to supervise nursing assistants, ensuring work assignments are completed appropriately and timely.
    • Dependable, flexible, and able to work well with all nursing personnel and other departments, with understanding, patience, and tact when working with patients, families, doctors, and others.
    • Ability to make decisions regarding nursing problems, recognizing that errors or incompetence can have serious consequences for patients.
