- Assisting with the recruitment of patients for research studies.

- Masters Degree in Clinical Social Work is required.
- Knowledge of cognitive behavioral therapy, interpersonal therapy, or dialectical behavioral techniques helpful.
- Licensed to practice in the State of Maryland.
- Additional supervision and training post-licensure preferred.
- Two year's experience in the field of clinical social work required; three or more preferred.

Description
Dr. Holly Wilcox, based at Johns Hopkins University, is currently recruiting a full-time Clinical Social Worker for a study funded by the Patient Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI). The study will compare the effectiveness of two relatively brief and scalable evidence-based interventions: the Safety Planning Intervention with follow-up contacts (SPI+), a suicide-specific intervention that helps people prevent suicidal crises from escalating, and Interpersonal Psychotherapy for Adolescents Ultra Short Crisis Intervention (IPT-A SCI), a psychotherapeutic crisis intervention treatment for suicidal adolescents that teaches youth skills to prevent suicidal crises and addresses interpersonal problems that lead to suicidal crises. The results will inform the future standard of care for youth at risk for suicide presenting in the emergency department.
Lastly, this position will work closely with other study staff and the principal investigator(s) with regards to study management, preparation of Institutional Review Board (IRB) documentation, reporting to PCORI, and other administrative tasks.
