    Research Associate III – Temp - Onsite – M-F 8-5

    8 months contract - Work Location - Pleasanton, CA - ONLY Local candidates please - 100% Onsite role

    As a Research Associate III in the Molecular Diagnostics Assay Development Team, you will support the development of molecular assays with cutting-edge dPCR technologies. You will be planning and executing molecular biology experiments, performing data analysis and documenting findings. You will be presenting results to technical audiences. Your ability to adapt and learn quickly will be essential in this role, that will offer you the opportunity to work in a collaborative environment on projects with a meaningful impact on reproductive health applications.

    • Advance the development of innovative molecular diagnostics assays that will ultimately benefit patients by designing, executing and analyzing complex experimental studies.
    • Contribute to the creation of innovative solutions by collaborating with others and engaging in problem solving/ troubleshooting efforts.
    • Support the development of sustainable lab processes by participating in initiatives such as 5S, My Green Lab and the International Freezer Challenge.
    • Drive scientific excellence by following good laboratory practices ensuring the integrity and safety of our work which is essential for a successful execution of our projects.

    What You Bring:

    • Education: 5+ years of experience and a B.S. in molecular biology or related life science field OR 3+ years of experience and a M.S in a related field
    • Direct experience with nucleic acid technology relating to PCR, qPCR, and/or digital PCR.
    • Experience with statistical analysis programs such as JMP, MiniTab or R.
    • Skilled at writing clear plans, reports and SOPs.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, logical and analytical thinking, ability to multitask, work independently and on a team, and the ability to learn, troubleshoot, and problem solve are essential.
    • Experience with Nucleic Acid extraction, NGS Library preparation, and liquid handlers are a plus for this role
