- Maintain and utilize fixed cost forecast and integrate with resource dispatch model.
- Review and utilize load forecasts from Members. Suggest changes where appropriate.
- Identify and research power supply options from regional market participants.
- Forecast associated costs.
- Assess operational and cost impact on current resources.
- Analyze and recommend power supply options made available from Oglethorpe Power, Green Power, and other key power suppliers.

The Senior Planning Analyst works under the direction of the Vice President of Member Services to support the goal of supplying reliable and low cost wholesale power to Member cooperatives. This position will be responsible for performing Cooperative Energy Inc. (CEI)s long-term resource planning activities including CEI Members load forecasting, wholesale power cost modeling, scenario analysis, budgeting, and reporting activities.

Prepare the long range power cost forecast for each CEI Member:
Analyze and make recommendations regarding the organizations future power supply alternatives:
Support procurement efforts to meet the power supply needs of Members, including the preparation of solicitations/requests for offers of energy and capacity products, supplier/developer communications, analytical support during proposal/bid evaluation and contract negotiations.
