    About the Position

    LocumJobsOnline is working with Barton Associates to find a qualified General Surgery MD in North Carolina

    We are seeking a General Surgeon for a locum tenens weekend call assignment in North Carolina. This opportunity begins on Apr 25, 2026, and offers a 3-day contract length. The schedule consists of 24-hour weekend call, with the provider not required to remain on-site while on call. The assignment includes managing 7-8 patients per day and overseeing 50 surgical cases per month.

    Responsibilities and Duties
    • Provide 24-hour weekend call coverage for general surgery cases
    • Manage an average of 7-8 patients per day
    • Handle 1-2 admissions per day and 1-2 admissions per night
    • Perform approximately 50 surgical cases per month
    • No code response or ER backup duties required
    • Utilize Epic EMR system for patient documentation
    Additional Information
    • Active North Carolina medical license required
    • Board certification in General Surgery required
    • Recent general surgery case logs required
