A client of Insight Global's is actively looking for a Senior Cost Accountant to join their Accounting Department out of their Houston, TX location.

This individual will work a hybrid schedule, join a team of 8, and report directly to their Multi-plant Controller.

A successful candidate will understand all aspects of cost accounting as it pertains to inventory control, standard cost, variable cost, fixed cost, etc.

A successful candidate will be very analytical with a diversified Accounting/Finance background and have a go-getter mentality with the ability to effectively manage others in a fast-paced environment.

• Assisting in First in First Out & Materials Movement/ Materials Used & inventory variances
• Will be helping in their long-term goal of implementing Standard Cost Accounting
• Working with production for accurate system inventory & reconciling any differences
• Manually update price to suppliers & inventory cost update (

PPE:
property, plant, & equipment)

• Assisting with cycle counting & physical inventories
• Meet with Operations team weekly
• Month-end reporting expenses, inventory changes, variance reporting's, etc.

Experience with Microsoft Dynamics

• Accounting Certifications: CPA, CMA, CFA, etc. and/or MBA in Accounting

* 5+ years in Standard Costing

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance

* 3+ years in Cost Accounting experience within a manufacturing setting
