    This is a temporary project role supporting our Workday HCM implementation.

    The Instructional Designer position is responsible for the design, development, and delivery of effective learning solutions. This position creates e-learning courses, videos, and graphic design elements for use in a variety of multi-media learning materials primarily focused on the implementation of Workday. The Instructional Designer assists with production video editing for learning tools, creates learning content, develops smart guides using digital a adoption platform and generates reports from the Learning Management System (LMS) to provide information to managers on the status of associates' completion of training modules of Workday.

    DESCRIPTION:

    • Build eModules and Smart Guides for Workday payroll, accounting, finance, recruiting, and supply chain.
    • Creates and maintains comprehensive documentation of instructional design processes, project plans and training materials.
    • Creates multi-media learning materials such as video, interactive eLearning course, workbook, audio recording, storyboard, and graphic using Articulate or other multi-media creation tools.
    • Collaborates with Trainers and Subject Matter Experts to develop engaging and interactive learning materials, including e-Learning modules, smart guides, training manuals, presentations, and job aids.
    • Assists in the organization and structuring of course content to optimize learning outcomes and user experiences.
    • Works with IS QA and Training to test and roll out learning programs.
    • Coordinates logistics for training sessions, webinars, and other learning events, including scheduling, room arrangements, and participant communication.
    • Collaborates with various departments to promote training opportunities and encourage participation.
    • Works on other technology training-related projects for other systems and applications as needed.

    JOB REQUIREMENTS:

    • Bachelor's degree in business administration, hospitality, or related field.
    • Minimum three years of work experience, preferably in a retail/hospitality operations environment; experience with Workday system, Articulate 360, Storyline, Articulate Rise, and digital adoption platforms such as Walk Me.

    • Proficient in Adobe Captivate or Articulate/storyline
    • Computer/technology skills and proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
    • Communication (oral and written), listening, and assessment skills

    • Ability to work positively with other departments and Operations ("win/win")

    WORK ENVIRONMENT:

    • Office conditions; ability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays.
    • Hybrid (onsite in Rosemead, CA on M/T/Fs).
