- Merchandising Strategy: Ensure the development and execution of sound merchandising plans that respond to changing customer needs and are in alignment with company vision.
- Product Assortment: Ensure product assortment reflects changing customer preferences, trends, and company vision and develop plans to ensure ongoing updating and maintenance of all sets.
- Pricing: Execute pricing strategies and promotional activities to drive sales and maintain competitiveness in the market.
- Supplier Relations: Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure proper assortment, competitive pricing, and reliable delivery.
- Quality Assurance: Implement quality control measures to ensure that all product meets company standards for freshness, appearance, and safety.
- Inventory Control: Manage inventory levels to ensure availability and implement strategies to minimize waste and maximize freshness.
- Market Analysis and Awareness: Monitor and analyze sales data, market trends, and customer preferences to identify opportunities for growth and improvement. Visit and monitor competition, stay on top of customer trends, and respond to the changing needs and wants of customers.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, and company policies and procedures regarding food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety. Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies regarding the sale and marketing of alcoholic beverages.
- Collaboration: Works closely with other departments and store management to develop and execute company programs and initiatives. Works closely with direct supervisor and executive team to ensure alignment of programs and objectives.

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- This position involves traveling to store locations and/or neighbor islands for initiative implementation, maintenance, and training. Mainland and international travel may also be required for industry shows and research and development.
- Requires ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays to accommodate the business. Additionally, the job requires the individual to be able to spend periods off island to execute company initiatives and meet store needs.
- Work is conducted in an office environment and may require work to be conducted in non-standard workplaces, including stores.
- Ability to analyze reports, interpret findings, and effectively problem-solve based on data.
- The position requires remembering processes, procedures, and complete information.
- Will be required to learn new tasks, adapt to changes, and stay updated with industry trends.
- Requires quick decision-making ability and at times with minimal information available.

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and organized individual with previous managerial experience in the grocery industry with a focus on natural, specialty foods and wine to join our team as Director of Natural, Specialty Foods and Wine.
As the director of natural, specialty foods, and wine, you are responsible for overseeing all aspects of sales and merchandising for the natural and R. Field departments for the company's grocery stores and affiliated markets. This position requires a deep understanding of natural and fine foods, market trends, and customer preferences. You will work with the head of sales and merchandising to create an overall vision and strategy for the department. You will be responsible for ensuring that your team (in the corporate office and at the store level) executes this strategy and delivers service, quality, merchandising, and an overall experience in alignment with our company's high standards.
