- Lead, mentor, and train subordinate inspectors
- Explain technical subjects related to naval nuclear reactor plants
- Head the inspection unit, ensuring production, safety, and efficiency
- Coordinate priorities and deadlines with project and production personnel
- Identify and resolve problems, proposing solutions to complex issues
- Demonstrated ability to lead and supervise
- Evaluation based on knowledge, skills, and competencies
- Covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program
- Position may require uncommon tour schedules
- Overtime or unusual duty hours may be necessary
