    Description

    About the Role

    We are seeking an experienced Registered Veterinary Technician to join our outstanding team at Bush Veterinary Neurology Service in Rockville, MD.

    The ideal candidate will have a strong foundational understanding of veterinary technology and be able to perform basic responsibilities including venipuncture, placing IV catheters, drug calculations, and administration of medications.

    You will work well independently and as part of a team, practicing good judgment to ensure high-quality care for all patients.

    EzyVet and SmartFlow experience is a plus.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Perform venipuncture and place IV catheters
    • Calculate and administer medications (IV or other methods)
    • Take vitals and observe, document, and recognize changes in patient attitude, abnormal behavior, and condition
    • Provide high-quality medical/nursing care

    Requirements

    • Current and active Veterinary Technician License in Maryland, or eligibility for licensure in another state
    • At least two years of Veterinary experience as an RVT, or one year as a Veterinary Assistant with two years of experience
    • Extensive experience with anesthesia, venipuncture, and catheters
    • Excellent communication, patient care, and customer service skills
