    Job Title: Lead, Systems Engineer-RF Missions (Active TS/SCI Security Clearance Required)

    Job Location: Palm Bay, FL

    Job Description:

    This position is part of the L3Harris (LHX) Space Systems Sector under the Space and Airborne Systems (SAS) Segment, which is the largest and fastest-growing segment within LHX. The Systems Engineers in this role are crucial in leading technology throughout the entire system lifecycle, engaging in key phases and milestone reviews. The Space Systems Sector has increasing needs across various programs, and team members may support multiple programs simultaneously. Essential skills for this role include:

    Essential Functions:

    • Applies a collaborative approach to plan, design, develop, and verify systems
    • Provides technical leadership in engineering, research, and development for complex systems
    • Applies systems engineering standards, principles, theories, and techniques
    • Experience in managing and verifying requirements for systems
    • Evaluates operational needs to define system performance requirements
    • Coordinates system architecture optimization
    • Assesses and mitigates program risks
    • Executes design trades to support technical decisions

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's Degree and minimum 9 years of relevant experience
    • Active TS/SCI security clearance
    • Experience with RF space payloads and systems

    Preferred Additional Skills:

    • Experience in Space Vehicle (SV) design integration and test
    • Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and related tools
    • Experience in space ground systems and vehicle operation
    • Experience with space hardware, testing, architecture, and implementation
    • Leadership in complex technical teams
    • Experience with requirements management software
    • Experience in fixed-price programs with government customers
