Job Description

As a Security Officer - X-Ray Screener in Romeoville, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Screener at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will greet associates and visitors, conduct screening and access control, and monitor key entry points, yards, and dock activity for security-related concerns. You will perform routine patrols, stay visible to help deter incidents, and communicate clearly while delivering customer-focused support. What You'll Do:

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.

Screen employees, visitors, vendors, and drivers using approved access control measures, including checking identification, confirming appointments, and issuing and/or collecting badges as required.

Monitor entry and exit points, assist with trailer and yard traffic flow when assigned, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas.

Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, completing reports and communicating updates to site management and Allied Universal leadership.

Conduct regular and random patrols around the building, staging areas, and perimeter, with working environments and conditions varying by location.

Minimum Requirements:

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
