- Supervise others working within established operational systems.
- Production Planning
- Develop daily and weekly production plans for a factory or product line to includeresource planning and monitoring and reporting on performance against theplan.
- Communicate the local action plan; explain how this relates to the function'sstrategy and action plan and the broader organization's mission and vision;motivate people to achieve local business goals.
- Identify shortcomings in existing manufacturing processes, systems, andprocedures; develop methods and processes to address them.
- Follow the organization's HS&E policies, procedures and mandatory instructions;to identify and mitigate environmental risks and risks to the wellbeing of oneselfand others in the workplace; instruct the team in safe working methods; identifyinstances of risky behaviors within the team and take appropriate action,escalating serious issues as appropriate.
- Plan and coordinate testing and inspection of products and processes.
- Assign short-term work schedules to a team of subordinates in order to achieveexpectations while following established timelines.
- Identify, within the team, instances of non-compliance with the organization'spolicies and procedures and/or relevant regulatory codes and codes of conduct,reporting these and escalating issues as appropriate.
- Track budgets and report variances to more senior colleagues.
- Respond to personal objectives and use performance management systems toimprove personal performance. OR Monitor the performance of the team;allocate work and review completion, take appropriate corrective action toensure timeliness and quality; contribute to formal individual performancemanagement and appraisal.
- Provide coaching to team members to develop their skills.
- Help others get the most out of internal communications systems by offeringsupport and advice.
- General Education
- University (First degree)
- Experienced practitioner able to work unsupervised (13 months to 3 years)
- Experience of supervising and directing people and other resources to achievespecific end results within limited timeframes (13 months to 3 years)
