    Applied R&D (AR) consists of target-oriented research either with the goal of solving a particular problem / answering a specific question or for multi-discipline design, development, and implementation of hardware, software, and systems including maintenance support.

    Supplies techno-economic consulting to clients.

    AR work is characterised by its detailed and complex nature in order to systematically combine existing knowledge and practices to further developing and incrementally improving products, operational processes, and customer-specific feature development.

    Subfamily Description


    General R&D Management (GRM) comprises the management of the engineering organisation which includes development and revision of new and existing products or services.

    Covers monitoring of different engineering dimensions and priority setting and conflict resolution between the different organisational dimensions (if any). Contains formulation of long-term objectives, implementation of policies, and monitoring of engineering budget and development schedule.

    Comprises optimisation of product delivery and involvement in patent search, technology surveillance, technology trends, and is main contributor in innovation management of the company.

    Responsibilities


    • Leads key and less complex projects that positively contribute to business or operation impact such as streamlining processes and tools for efficiency in functional, region or local operation.
    • Manages the execution of a programme of medium complexity against agreed programme targets.
    • Is responsible for project execution performance with respect to financial and operational KPIs such as cost, timelines, revenue, project assets, and customer satisfaction.
    • Interfaces with key stakeholders at business area leadership.
    • Owns and manages customer relationship for assigned scope in services, delivery and performance areas.
    • Ensures contract execution is based on methodology and applicable BG guidelines and processes.
    • Ensures proper communication to relevant stakeholders for technical requests, emergency cases, outages and project delivery issues.
    • Monitors, reports and optimises services delivery in alignment with relevant processes and tools providing sufficient operational visibility to stakeholders (EG Project Management, PMO, customer).
    Your skills and experience

    You have:
    Experience with telecommunications project delivery
    Knowledge ofsoftware delivery projects
    Experience with troubleshooting and problem solving
    Knowledge of project documentation and coordination of activities
    Has a good command of the English Language and can communicate effectively during presentations.
    Experience with Cloud Technologies, Cloud Architecture,

    It would be nice if you also had:
    Excellent writing, editing, collaboration, and communication skills and the ability to express ideas clearly and make technical content easy for non-technical audiences to understand
    Experience with managing projects, reviewing your own work with others and communicating status proactively
    Self-starter with a hands-on approach, a good sense of prioritization and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment

    Knowledge & Experience


    Management Experience / Achieved well-advanced skills of a specific professional discipline combining deep knowledge of theory and organisational practice or expertise.

    Recognised expert in their field (depth & breadth). Typically requires 5-8 years extensive relevant experience and/or a graduate / postgraduate equivalent degree.
