    BayCare Clinic Orthopedics and Sports Medicine is looking for an Electromyography Technician to join our team in Green Bay, WI. We're looking for a compassionate, thoughtful candidate who wants to contribute to a positive experience for all our patients. The typical hours for this role are Monday-Friday from 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. No Holidays No Weekends

    The Job:

    • Observes and records electrical activity in nerves using electromyography equipment.
    • Prepares patients for testing by applying a conductive paste to the area where testing will be completed.
    • Attaches recording devices to the patient.
    • Interprets results and passes on observations to the physician.
    • Schedules required tests.
    • Talks with patients regarding scheduled tests and test results as indicated from charts after review by physician.
    • Makes telephone calls to patients regarding physician orders and/or prescription medications ordered by the physician.
    • Accurately documents all care provided in the patient medical records.
    • Respects and maintains confidentiality.
    • Works in a safe, compliant, and ethical manner at all times.
    The Requirements:
    • Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program and a valid certification preferred.
    • Completion of an accredited electromyography program preferred.
    • Experience and training as a medical assistant with demonstration of appropriate competencies may be accepted in lieu of completion of medical assistant program.
    • 6 months - 1 year of prior Medical Assistant or EMG technician experience preferred.
    • Must be computer literate and familiar with the software used at the practice site.
