- Ensures and is accountable for profitability of the department by growing sales through the delivery of top-quality products and controlling costs of goods, inventory levels, labor, supplies and expenses.
- Maintains proper safety and loss prevention standards, reviewing cash handling procedures and managing inventory.
- Ensure positive guest experience in all areas; respond to complaints and encourage customer feedback; ensure that customer Overall Satisfaction (OSAT) objectives are met.
- Responsible for department management including staffing, training, scheduling, performance management and career development of associates, and developing and monitoring department goals.
- Oversees all cash management functions.
- Able to perform all POS duties, preparation of food according to standard procedures, including opening and closing procedures.
- Maintains a clean, well-merchandised department.
- Ensure compliance with operational standards, company policies, federal/state/local laws, and ordinances.
- Develop and monitor department budget as required.
- Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
- High School Diploma (Required) or equivalent (GED).
- Two years restaurant/food service experience required with at least one year in a lead or supervisory role.
- Food Safety Certification (SERV Safe) is completed within 3 months required.
- Ability to interpret and adhere to sanitation and food safety standards.
- Self-discipline, initiative, leadership ability and outgoing attitude.
- Ability to motivate associates to work as a team to ensure that product and service meet appropriate standards.
- Ability to multi-task and problem solve.
- Good communication skills for dealing with a diverse staff.
- Ability to meet gross margin and profitability.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to interact with a variety of customers and respond effectively to their needs.
