FUNCTIONS

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

QUALIFICATIONS

Knowledge of operating and cleaning food service equipment.
Able to withstand use of soaps, bleaches and cleaning fluids.
Able to withstand standing over periods of long duration, and

* lifting of items up to 60 pounds.

Knowledge of cooking and baking terms.
Be able to maintain accurate records.
Deals courteously and effectively with others.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Assists with any setting up preparations, making sure that all hot items are served at a temperature of at least 140 F; assures all children and adults are served within the time frame allotted; assures all food service equipment and utensils are sanitized according to procedures; scrubs and cleans work areas; assists with the setting up and tearing down of serving lines.
Checks lunch counts, amounts of food, begin cooking and preparation; knowledgeable of pots, pans, foods, etc. needed for the next day meal; takes proper care of school lunch equipment and facilities.
Collects monies from cash sales and deposits into student accounts; delivers monies collected to the Food Service Office daily.
Operates within the policies for proper collection procedures in conjunction with Board of Education, State and Federal laws.
Gives a lasting impression of the Douglas Lunch Program through excellent service.
Cooperates and works well with others.
Provides for his/her professional growth.
Performs such other related duties as may be assigned by the Food Service Coordinator.
