    Description

    We are excited to announce a new opportunity at Leidos for the position of Architect/Architectural Engineer. In this role, you will be responsible for assessing and designing the building enclosure for air traffic control facilities.

    Leidos' NISC IV Program (National Airspace System Integration Support Contract) is a key program that has been supporting the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) for many years. As part of this program, you will play a crucial role in supporting the FAA's Eastern Service Area (ESA), where you will evaluate existing air traffic control facilities' building enclosures, design upgrades, review new designs, and make recommendations for performance improvements.

    Locations:

    • College Park, GA
    • Nashua, NH
    • Burlington, MA

    Up to 50% travel

    Architect Primary Responsibilities:

    • Plan and design various facility projects, focusing on the building enclosure
    • Conduct studies of existing facilities
    • Perform on-site surveys and develop detailed reports
    • Investigate and develop multi-disciplinary solutions
    • Analyze project requirements and provide engineering recommendations
    • Utilize relevant software tools for analysis and design
    • Plan, schedule, and coordinate construction project activities
    • Prepare construction drawings, specifications, and cost estimates
    • Review contractor submittals
    • Participate in coordination meetings, inspections, and testing
    • Provide project updates to stakeholders
    • Track project punch-list exceptions

    Architect Basic Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Architecture or Architectural Engineering
    • Four or more years of experience in facility design engineering
    • Experience in evaluating existing structures
    • Knowledge of building codes and standards
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products and AutoCAD
    • Effective communication skills
