    A healthcare organization in Modesto, CA is seeking a highly skilled medical professional to provide locum tenens coverage in their critical care department. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned nurse practitioner to utilize their skills and experience in a fast-paced environment.

    The ideal candidate will have the ability to work independently and as part of a team to deliver high-quality patient care. The position involves 24-hour shifts with responsibilities including unassigned patient rounding, handling phone consults, and performing daily admissions.

    The facility has 380 beds and operates as a Level II trauma center, utilizing Athena and Cerner EMR systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing approximately two phone consults and seeing one patient per day, with one admission daily. This role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Provide locum tenens coverage in the critical care department
    • Manage unassigned patient rounds, phone consults, and daily admissions
    • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality patient care
    • Utilize Athena and Cerner EMR systems

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field
    • Current APRN certification (NP or CRNA)
    • Valid California nursing license
    • Experience working in critical care settings

    Salary and Benefits:

    The estimated annual salary for this position is $120,000 - $150,000 based on national averages and location.
