This position serves as a key role in the design, development, build, test, and support of critical business applications, both internally and customer-facing.
The role will work with internal users, external customers, business analysts, and team members in various business areas to understand functional requirements and subsequently design and deliver high quality enterprise solutions with a top-tier user experience.
Position will act both independently and work within a delivery team in identifying, designing, coding, testing, debugging, and documenting complex ERP applications in an agile development environment.
Solid coding skills and experience working across Oracle's JD Edwards Enterprise One (E1) system are critical for this role.Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To:
Design logic for E1 subsystems and individual E1 programs
Develop detailed program logic, including preparing test data and testing schedule
Documentation and detailed process flow of production ready development
Structure database table design using SQL and ORACLE databases
Analyze test results and all program performance
Code program instructions for E1 applications, business functions, reports, etc.
Formalize project and business specifications derived from user requirements
Provide technical support for O'Neal Steel users through the understanding of debugging and logging of the E1 system
Instruct users on use of application sets
Required Education and Skills:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, related field, or equivalent work experience
In depth understanding of a corporate-level ERP software installation
Programming/Development with and in Named Event Rules, Business Functions, Table Design, Report Design and Forms Design
Understanding of debugging and logging capabilities
Understanding of major business functional areas
Knowledge of Application Programming Interfaces (API's)
Demonstrated skills in some of the following languages and technologies:
Microsoft .NET, C#, VBScript, C++, Visual Basic, ODBC, ORACLE, and SQL
Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office or similar desktop application suite
Effective communication skills, both oral and written
Demonstrated analytical and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey highly technical information to a non-technical audience
Minimum 3 years' experience in software engineering, development, or related role
Preferred Education, Skills and Experience :
JD Edwards Enterprise One (E1) version 8.9 with tools release
JD Edwards Enterprise One (E1) version 9.2 – Release 23
Hands on experience with .NET and Visual Studio in relation to web development and web services
C# is used as main coding language
Web apps using .Net/MVC
Creation and management of APIs
Integration of 3rd Party apps into an ERP system
Demonstrated experience in specific EDI software environments such as:
IBM GenTran Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) server
Business-to-Business system integration, where there is demonstrated understanding of the standardized EDI approach and best practices
Understanding of EDI in the context of ERP
Hands on experience with highly used EDI transaction sets: 810, 830, 850, 856, etc.
Maintain detailed documentation and process flows of the EDI system
Demonstrate experience with a data ETL toolset
Analysis, Design, and Testing of Informatica PowerCenter (IOD) mappings
Design and Testing of BOOMI mappings and integration points
High level knowledge of Microsoft's Dynamics CRM solution
Experience with relational databases and table management
Ability to formulate SQL statements

Preferred
Associates or better in Computer Science or related field.
Bachelors or better in Computer Science or related field.
Experience
Required
Indepth understanding of JD Edwards Enterprise One.
Experience with one or more of the following: Microsoft .NET Framework, C#, C++, VBScript, CSS, SQL, Oracle Database, ODBC.
Familiar with Agile methodologies and the software development life cycle
Ability to design solutions that are not only functional but easy to use.
Demonstrated analytical and interpretational skill sets, which include problem solving, developing and implementing technical ideas.
3 years of related experience as required by the position job posting.
Working proficiency in associated programming languages, platforms and associated technologies as required by the specific role
Preferred
Experience with one or more of the following: Azure DevOps, EDI, Boomi Application Programming Interfaces (API's)
