Emergency Department Clerk - Coldwater

Under the direct supervision of the RN and ultimately to the Nurse Manager performs the secretarial duties in the Emergency Department while functioning as the focal communications source in the nursing station. Performs communication and coordination duties related to admission discharge transfer and death of patient in the Emergency Department Collects data photocopies information answers telephone takes messages directs calls and enters information into computer Needs to perform with a high degree of accuracy Able to operate and trouble shoot issues of basic office equipment Picks up and delivers specimens documents and other items Supports department during crisis by functioning as liaison with other departments public Prepares maintains patient records according to standards policy This includes collection of patient data Ensures adequate stock office supplies keeps work area organized Must be able to show compassion empathy for coworkers patients families Possess strong customer service skills Performs any other job related duties indicated.
