We are seeking an experienced Network Engineer with a strong background in Cisco Route/Switch Platforms to join our team. The primary focus of this role will be upgrading the switching infrastructure across multiple locations in the Phoenix area. The successful candidate will be responsible for the staging, physical installation, and configuration of over 500 switches. Collaboration with a project manager is essential for coordinating maintenance windows, and detailed documentation and diagrams are required for all upgraded locations.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

1. Switching Infrastructure Upgrade:
   • Lead the upgrading of switching infrastructure in the Phoenix area.
   • Manage staging, physical installation, and configuration of over 500 switches.
   • Collaborate with the project manager to coordinate maintenance windows effectively.
2. Documentation and Diagrams:
   • Create comprehensive documentation and diagrams for all locations undergoing switch upgrades.
   • Ensure accuracy and completeness of documentation for future reference.

Required Education, Technical Skills, and/or Experience:

• 8+ years of experience maintaining, utilizing, and troubleshooting Cisco Route/Switch Platforms.
• Strong verbal communication skills, with a positive attitude and a strong work ethic.

Preferred Education, Technical Skills, and/or Experience:

• CCNP certification is highly desired, or a combination of relevant certifications, education, and work experience.

Working Conditions:

• This is a full-time position based in Phoenix, AZ.
• Flexibility to work during maintenance windows and off-peak hours as needed.
