    Logistics & Warehouse Support Specialist

    The Logistics & Warehouse Support Specialist performs local delivery and pick-up of products and other requested items on a daily basis.

    Essential Job Functions:

    • Deliver finished goods locally
    • Pickup and delivery of items required in everyday manufacturing process
    • Pickup and delivery for office personnel and managers
    • Comply with customer shipping requirements
    • Deliver paperwork from customers to Shipping Supervisor
    • Drive safely and responsibly
    • Be courteous to customers
    • Be responsible for first echelon maintenance of company delivery vehicle to include fluid levels, oil changes, tire serviceability and rotation, registration, inspection, and cleanliness
    • Prepare items for shipment and assist shipping clerk when needed
    • Scale and weigh products as needed
    • Wrap materials in preparation for delivery
    • Deliver outgoing mail to post office on a daily basis
    • Weekly corrugated materials inventory and report to manager
    • Complete quality inspection of incoming goods
    • Utilize six-sigma quality tools, when appropriate, to define, measure, analyze, improve and control processes and outcomes.
    • Responsible to maintain & support processes, procedures & K.P.I.'s owned by your position.
    • Review of all procedures related to your job per "HR LG 01 Training Matrix"
    • Completion within time stated of all training required by Job Description in "HR LG 01 Training Matrix"
    • Perform other duties as assigned.
    • Regular and punctual attendance.
    • Follow all Company policies and procedures.

    Skill Requirements:

    • Strong communication and organizational skills

    Qualifications:

    • Valid, clean driver's license, class "D" or above
    • Friendly and co-operative disposition
    • Ability to maneuver small truck in confined spaces
    • High school diploma or equivalent
    • Previous Forklift Experience is preferred

    Work Environment:

    • The performance of this position will require exposure to the manufacturing areas where all areas require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, hearing protection, steel toe shoes, and other mandatory safety equipment.
    • For the most part, ambient temperatures with typical plant lighting and manufacturing equipment are present throughout the facility.

    Physical Demands:

    • Sit or stand as needed.
    • Walking primarily on a level surface for periodic periods throughout the day.
    • Reaching above shoulder height, below the waist, or lifting as required to reach documents or store materials throughout the workday.
    • Proper lifting techniques required and can lift up to 50 lbs. independently.
    • Ability and comfortability to work in small confine spaces while following proper safety protocol.
    • Ability to accomplish the physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
