    Description
    Position Title: Desktop/Server SupportReports to: CIOJob type: Full-timeFLSA: ExemptWork authorization: United States (required)Location: Chino, CA

    Company: Arctic Cooling Systems Purpose: Act as a entry to mid level desktop and server support administrator to support users with various technical issues. Gather and translate business requirements into system solutions, and work with higher level and 3rd party IT experts to design, implement and maintain systems for smooth operation. Must have basic understanding of IT systems functionality, process improvements, best practices and works with business leaders to enhance the effectiveness of the system. But most importantly be able and eager to learn new skills, technologies and systems. Position Responsibilities:
    • Responding to client support requests
    • Contacting clients to find out the nature of the problem
    • Troubleshooting client hardware and software issues and resolving in timely manner
    • Installing and maintaining hardware and computer peripherals
    • Installing and upgrading operating systems and computer software
    • Troubleshooting networking and connection issues
    • Proven work experience as Desktop / Server Support Technician
    • Knowledge of computer hardware systems, chipsets, memory modules, and peripherals
    • Experience with administering multi-domain MS Active Directory
    • Abe to set up workstations within a Microsoft A/D environment
    • Knowledge of popular operating systems, software applications, and remote connection systems
    • Research, install, configure, and maintain, test and coordinate implementing Microsoft operating systems software and other vendor supplied software updates, upgrades and fixes in timely manner
    • Troubleshoot, isolate, and replace operating system and server components, maintain systems at 99% uptime and reliability
    • Must be willing to work onsite
    Optional Skills:· Working experience with VMWare technologies including vCcenter server, ESXi servers, virtual environment backup; and restore is a plus· Working experience with setting up, maintaining and troubleshooting networking technologies like DHCP, DNS, etc. is a plus Required Education/Experience: · Preferred Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or work-related experience· Core understanding of IT services such as Microsoft server technology· Good understanding of production; system knowledge Competencies:· Detailed-oriented, adept at troubleshooting and resolving issues and defects· Enthusiastic about customer service and have a passion for improving client satisfaction
    • Demonstrated ability to manage complex, multidisciplinary projects
    · Able to prioritize projects and multitask· Must be a deep diver into complex technical issues· Comfortable with asking for help when needed · Problem solver; operates well in difficult situations· Excellent verbal and written communication skills· Understands the need for integrity and demonstrates awareness of ethical implications in all situations· Must be willing to take initiative and not wait for manager to point out the issue to be resolved· Must be a good communicator and have good verbal and written skills· Must be able to work with 3rd party IT support and also corporate IT teams to resolve issues Work Environment:The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
