    Job Description

    The Senior Powertrain Engineer will act as a leading position in the ePowertrain design process and development. The position will support and coordinating e- motor/inverter/gearbox

    teams by planning, testing, analyzing, and executing eBeam/eAxle development projects and support

    building/manufacturing,

    validation, testing, and continuous improvements.
    Main Duties and Responsibilities

    • Lead the design, development and validation of powertrain product adhering to engineering disciplines with minimal supervision.
    • Perform standard engineering analysis/stacks calculation, simulation, interfacing with different functional teams).
    • Execute work tasks in a planned manner.
    • Prioritize, manage and delegate work tasks to supporting product development.
    • Lead the development of engineering drawings and specifications.
    • Manage DVP&R execution by coordinating with cross functional teams.
    • Drive engineering based on JJE launch process for program execution.
    • Recognize and lead technical problem resolution using problem solving techniques.
    • Lead customer technical meetings and presentations.
    • Lead internal design reviews to meet program milestones.
    • Lead DFMEA activity for the responsible products and manufacturing plants/suppliers to assure manufacturing feasibility of designs
    • Support quote process for design changes.
    • Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Bachelor's in Engineering Technology or equivalent.
    • Master or Ph. D. of Science in Engineering is preferred.
    • Minimum of 5 years engineering experience.
    • Experience in requirements definition for Automotive powertrain
    • Proficient with GD&T, dimensional tolerancing and tolerance stacks.
    • Strong decision-making skills with the ability to grasp technical concepts.
    • Knowledge of manufacturing processes (i.e. casting, forging, machining and assembly).
    • Ability to prioritize and work multiple tasks to completion.
    • Ability to collaborate and work in a team environment.
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills to ensure clear and effective group communication customers, sales and manufacturing.
    • Proficient with application of DFMEA, DVPR and Control Plans.
    • MS Office proficient.
    • Experience writing technical specifications, validation test procedures and test reports.
    • Experience with e- motor/inverter/gearbox
    is desirable.

    • Experience with CAD/CAE is desirable.
