    The Vanderlande Internship Program aims to provide interns with an opportunity to acquire a hands on experience on real life projects and learn from subject matter experts while helping Vanderlande in improving business practices.

    During the program the intern will learn and put to practice the following:

    Quality Management Systems:
    Internal processes and supplier qualification based on ISO 9001:2015 principles.

    Customer and field issues:
    address quality escapes at Vanderlande project sites and investigation based on 8D problem solving methodology.

    Concessions:
    Processing Site or Supplier deviation and concession requests.

    Continuous Improvement:
    Quality Assurance department's active continuous improvement initiatives.

    Primary responsibilities:
    Help drive root cause investigations and process improvement efforts (Pareto Analysis, Histograms, Cause & Effect Diagrams, )
    Create/implement world class quality practices (Process capability, lean tools, SIPOC, RACI...)
    Contribute and provide input to assess new and existing suppliers and evaluate quality performance of suppliers.
    Help coordinate Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCARs) to correctly identify and address root cause and implement permanent solutions.

    Qualifications:


    Currently enrolled in at least the 3rd year of an engineering program at an accredited university pursuing a bachelor's degree.

    Industrial, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering majors preferred.
    Good academic standing within the University's Engineering program.

    Knowledge-Skills-Abilities:
    Intermediate experience creating Excel pivot tables, data analysis, Visio process maps, and PowerPoint presentations
    Power-BI data analytics is a plus
    Effective statistical analysis skills
    Enthusiasm, creativity and dedication to getting results.
    Ability to work collaboratively and independently.
    Ability to interact effectively with others, interpersonal skills to manage stakeholders and get buy-in on decisions
    Excellent written and oral communication skills, able to articulate ideas and make recommendations clearly
    Available to work 40 hours per week in office or at site/supplier location
