    JetZero is developing a blended wing aircraft that uses 50% less fuel and can accommodate zero-emission hydrogen propulsion, making it the inevitable solution to sustainable air travel.

    The Role

    We are hiring a Stress Engineer, Systems to join our team of experienced aerospace professionals and engineers. As a Stress Engineer, you will be responsible for analyzing and determining the structural integrity of various systems and their interactions with primary structure.

    This role is based in Long Beach, CA and reports to the Head of Structures. If you have a Startup Mindset, love Aerospace, and love Technology, we encourage you to apply.

    Responsibilities

    • Perform stress analysis of systems supports and routings using hand analysis, finite element analysis (FEA), and other advanced techniques.
    • Identify and analyze potential failure modes and recommend design improvements.
    • Generate, review, and/or approve engineering analysis and strength check notes and compliance documentation.
    • Work cross-functionally to ensure systems routings and support designs meet all system and aircraft-level requirements.
    • Build and execute product development schedule, ensuring that all program and system level milestones are attained.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university.
    • 5 years' experience in systems stress analysis.
    • Experience with software tools such as FEMAP, Siemens NX, and Abaqus preferred.
    • Familiarity with both static and vibration analysis.
