Overview

Being an Information Security Leader (ISL) at Gainwell is a key role in ensuring the seamless integration and optimal use of the company's diverse product range. Collaborating closely with internal teams and external stakeholders, you'll delve into product functionalities, address issues, and optimize solutions spanning healthcare, data analysis, and client support services. Picture yourself as a trusted advisor within the organization, liaising with senior management, and concentrating on health care industry regulated security requirements aligned with client business goals.

The ISL plays a vital role in grasping operational challenges and strategizing next steps from an information security perspective. This involves engaging and influencing at a managerial level within client entities like Information Governance and IT Security leads. Demonstrating industry know-how and adherence to security governance and compliance standards such as Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA) and the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) framework, you'll analyze, enforce, and maintain these regulations across designated accounts or health care products within Gainwell Technologies and its affiliates.

Your Contribution to Our Mission

Data Security and Compliance: Educate stakeholders on safeguarding PHI/PII data within Gainwell products, ensuring compliance measures are implemented.
Client Support and Communication: Act as the primary client contact for product inquiries, updates, and resolutions, fostering effective communication between internal teams and clients.
Enhancement and Innovation: Collaborate with product teams to enhance products based on client feedback and industry trends, guiding Gainwell's product roadmap.
Lead Security operational governance activities to ensure delivery excellence and compliance.
Maintain security plans and related documentation for designated accounts and products.
Prepare for and manage audit and penetration assessments, security incidents, and risks.
Facilitate security knowledge sharing and implementation of security standards.
Collaborate with the Security Incident Response (SIR) team and Account Executives (AE) to resolve incidents.
Coordinate Security Metrics and Reporting for contractual commitments.
Create and maintain security-related documentation.

Qualifications We Seek

Minimum 7 years experience in risk management, audit, security, or technical delivery roles.
Experience as a Security consultant, architect, or engineer.
Knowledge of Assurance Practices, Risk Management, and hands-on experience.
Auditing experience with security frameworks such as Virginia SEC 525 and SEC 530.
Familiarity with NIST 800-53, ISO27001, security audit processes, and certifications like CISSP, CISM, CCSP, among others.
Experience in IT outsourcing or industry specialization.
Additional experience with HIPAA, NIST, MARS-E, FedRAMP is advantageous.

Expectations in This Role

This position offers full remote work.
Reporting to the Information Security Leader within the office of the Chief Information Security Officer (OCISO).
Engage with Account Delivery Executives, Product Owners, and Information Security staff.
Collaborate to maintain security standards across the organization.
